Chinese factory declares bankruptcy - model cancellations/delays for Biante and TSM

Oct 31, 2011

Biante Model Cars and TrueScale Miniatures made an announcement that their Chinese supplier/factory has unexpectedly declared bankruptcy, causing delays and cancellations for upcoming models in 1:43 and 1:18 scale.

According to Biante, many of the molds that Biante used to manufacture model cars were held within this factory and it's unlikely that Biante will be able to recover them from the supplier. TrueScale on the other hand was able to get their tooling out and is currently in the process of setting up production with another factory.
